QSMs describe topological ordered cylinder models of (reconstructed) trees. Each cylinder is described by a set of global coordinates/transformations, its relationship to its parent cylinder, and its position on the tree/branch (branch order, trend).
QSMs can be created, processed, or analyzed using various scientific tools, e.g.: rTwig or TreeQSM
